I was a blonde, but discovered that blues have a helluva lot more fun. That and they are a scheming lot, note why one Tigerlan had quite a bit of Coke Zero, 500+ Coke Zeros (my estimate was 534). |

Yeah, I have a couple people who really want to come play Halo2 also. We might have a pretty big turnout for this. |

It would be best if they created accounts and voted as well, even if they don't start visiting the forums regularly. |

I thought Halo PC was better than console. At least you could use a mouse. What was wrong with it? (Other than being a piece of shit like the console version, I didn't see anything worse than the console version about it....) |

ok ok, remember to read my post. I edited it to say I'm running Guilty Gear.
And yes, gambling is illegal in this state. The $2 entry fee to this competition will cover operating costs, setup and prizes. No monetary prizes will be given. |

First, yes china, we appreciate you bringing any other people and equipment you can.
Second, we don't decide prizes until the day before or the day of. Most of the time we play games for fun, so if the game is enjoyable for everyone involved, I don't think players should worry about the prizes. They're really there as an added incentive. TigerLAN is more about seeing what all gaming has to offer, not just thinking about prizes.
Third...sorry, Byron, but I'm gonna have to shut you down. First off, if you do run this tournament, it is not with AUCGC's sanctioning. Therefore, you don't have the right to use the same location as we are. In fact, without paying the money to use the room, you also don't have permission from Auburn University. Second, you are charging additional fees to enter your tournament, on top of fees they already have to pay to attend our event. I do not believe this is fair to anyone who might wish to attend TigerLAN only to go to your event, or to anyone who wishes to attend your event, (in fact, I also think it is unfair to anyone who wishes to use an xbox that does not want to play either Halo 2 or Guilty Gear, as you may be depriving them of equipment) so I am not going to allow you to run the event at the same location as ours.
I have no problem with you holding an unofficial game of Guilty Gear, since freeplay is allowed, but if you want to hold it at TigerLAN, there are some conditions...First, no entry fee. Second, no prizes. Third, nothing about it being a tournament in any official capacity.
If you wish to run your own tournament, you may do it as long as you are not in the premises of TigerLAN, and have the permission of whoever owns the location you are using. You also may not make any claims as to the AUCGC being associated with your tournament.
Also, in the future, if you have any ideas like this, might I suggest coming and personally discussing it with me or bringing it up at a TigerLAN or Gamers meeting some time? While many of us post information on the forums, we don't all read them every day, so it would be a good idea to come and talk to me first, next time. |
