Ok folks, I'll be taking volunteers to help with running tournaments (it's either this or I start assigning people)! So if you're interested in running a particular tournament, or just want to help in general, this is the thread to request it. And no, I don't expect much of a response, as this would show some responsibility and initiative, but I figure it couldn't hurt to ask. Also, expect a tournament schedule in the next few days. |

Can we volunteer and participate at the same time? I'd be willing to help even though I've never been to a tigerlan before |

It's up to Ack, but I would think some people would view somebody in a tournament running it having a conflict-of-interest. (Even though most of the peeps at cgc I would trust anyways, it just doesn't seem proper) |

I don't believe that people running the tournaments should participate. In fact, as head coordinator, I will not be participating in any competitions. I don't believe it's fair, because the individual tournament judges and myself will be selecting prizes for each tournament.
Kurtmax, I would appreciate your help on any tournaments you're not playing in, though I'm not sure which ones you will be in and which ones you won't. Please specify?
Medusae, I appreciate your willingness to help, but since you've never been to a TigerLAN before, I don't think you should be a judge. That stated, however, there are other things you can help with (such as setup, networking, running the front desk, etc.), so I'm sure I'll have a job for you at some point. |

Ok, here goes...Kurtmax, you're judging UT2k4
Kurtmax and DIE, you two can work together to judge Melee
Xero, judge DDR. Mainly because I know you can handle it, so don't hate me. If you want help, I'll get someone to help you. |

Ack, we need to get coordinated asap on getting all of the equipment from my place to the venue. I was thinking--get a group of ppl who we know are showing up early Saturday and dispersing it between them. The other stuff can be transported on Friday. |

well, I'm playing: TFC (assuming my team remains together united); Dawn of War; Table Tennis (although I could drop out and judge that one if necessary); DDR; Guilty Gear sharp reload; ... I'm sure I'm missing something. I can help run whatever though, just don't make me drop DoW or Guilty Gear. |

Friday night is going to be really hectic, I'd suggest doing it earlier. |

I'll volunteer. I realize I'm new and most of you don't really know me, but I ran the game room at Persacon (in Madison, AL) in June and ran several tournaments. I'd be more than willing to help out here too. I am for sure participating in DDR, not too sure about any others. So whatever I can help out with, just let me know. |

Would Thursday be ok, Xero? Tuesday and Wednesday aren't the best days.
Akurybo, you seem like an ok guy and you do have good experience...I'll definitely find a place for you, just not sure where. If I don't have enough people to run tournaments, you'll be up for that, I just prefer having been around the guys who are running them for a little while so I know they're good enough gamers to handle it.
We'll put it this way. If I trust you enough to name you Sergeant at Arms, I'm willing to let you run tournaments. |

Ok, so we've got the room all day Friday for setup...12 tables, 50 chairs, 4 televisions, and 1 projector, though that won't go in until Saturday...if you're willing to help with setup, come by the Foy Table on Friday. I'll be recruiting. |

We've got the room all day on Friday, so I'll probably try recruiting during the day for setup...just go to Foy if you're interested. If setup isn't done by Gamers (which it probably won't), I'll be grabbing people from there, too. |
